Tafsir of verse (20) from Surah Hud

﴿ أُولٰئِكَ لَم يَكونوا مُعجِزينَ فِى الأَرضِ وَما كانَ لَهُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ مِن أَولِياءَ ۘ يُضٰعَفُ لَهُمُ العَذابُ ۚ ما كانوا يَستَطيعونَ السَّمعَ وَما كانوا يُبصِرونَ ﴾

Those were not causing failure [to Allah] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.

Tafsir of verse (21) from Surah Hud

﴿ أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ خَسِروا أَنفُسَهُم وَضَلَّ عَنهُم ما كانوا يَفتَرونَ ﴾

Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

Tafsir of verse (22) from Surah Hud

﴿ لا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُم فِى الءاخِرَةِ هُمُ الأَخسَرونَ ﴾

Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the greatest losers.

Tafsir of verse (23) from Surah Hud

﴿ إِنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَأَخبَتوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِم أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ ۖ هُم فيها خٰلِدونَ ﴾

Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds and humbled themselves to their Lord – those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide eternally therein.

Tafsir of verse (24) from Surah Hud

﴿ ۞ مَثَلُ الفَريقَينِ كَالأَعمىٰ وَالأَصَمِّ وَالبَصيرِ وَالسَّميعِ ۚ هَل يَستَوِيانِ مَثَلًا ۚ أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ ﴾

The example of the two parties is like the blind and deaf, and the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Then, will you not remember?

Tafsir of verse (25) from Surah Hud

﴿ وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ إِنّى لَكُم نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ ﴾

And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Indeed, I am to you a clear warner.

Tafsir of verse (26) from Surah Hud

﴿ أَن لا تَعبُدوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنّى أَخافُ عَلَيكُم عَذابَ يَومٍ أَليمٍ ﴾

That you not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a painful day."

Tafsir of verse (27) from Surah Hud

﴿ فَقالَ المَلَأُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن قَومِهِ ما نَرىٰكَ إِلّا بَشَرًا مِثلَنا وَما نَرىٰكَ اتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا الَّذينَ هُم أَراذِلُنا بادِىَ الرَّأىِ وَما نَرىٰ لَكُم عَلَينا مِن فَضلٍ بَل نَظُنُّكُم كٰذِبينَ ﴾

So the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "We do not see you but as a man like ourselves, and we do not see you followed except by those who are the lowest of us [and] at first suggestion. And we do not see in you over us any merit;

Tafsir of verse (28) from Surah Hud

﴿ قالَ يٰقَومِ أَرَءَيتُم إِن كُنتُ عَلىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِن رَبّى وَءاتىٰنى رَحمَةً مِن عِندِهِ فَعُمِّيَت عَلَيكُم أَنُلزِمُكُموها وَأَنتُم لَها كٰرِهونَ ﴾

He said, "O my people, have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?
