Tafsir of verse (89) from Surah Al-Baqara
﴿ وَلَمّا جاءَهُم كِتٰبٌ مِن عِندِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِما مَعَهُم وَكانوا مِن قَبلُ يَستَفتِحونَ عَلَى الَّذينَ كَفَروا فَلَمّا جاءَهُم ما عَرَفوا كَفَروا بِهِ ۚ فَلَعنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الكٰفِرينَ ﴾
And when there came to them a Book [i.e., the Quran] from Allah confirming that which was with them – although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved – but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbeli

﴿ بِئسَمَا اشتَرَوا بِهِ أَنفُسَهُم أَن يَكفُروا بِما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بَغيًا أَن يُنَزِّلَ اللَّهُ مِن فَضلِهِ عَلىٰ مَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ ۖ فَباءو بِغَضَبٍ عَلىٰ غَضَبٍ ۚ وَلِلكٰفِرينَ عَذابٌ مُهينٌ ﴾
How wretched is that for which they sold themselves – that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed through [their] outrage that Allah would send down His favor upon whom He wills from among His servants. So they returned having [earned] wrath upo

﴿ ۞ وَلَقَد جاءَكُم موسىٰ بِالبَيِّنٰتِ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذتُمُ العِجلَ مِن بَعدِهِ وَأَنتُم ظٰلِمونَ ﴾
And Moses had certainly brought you clear proofs. Then you took the calf [in worship] after that, while you were wrongdoers.

﴿ وَإِذ أَخَذنا ميثٰقَكُم وَرَفَعنا فَوقَكُمُ الطّورَ خُذوا ما ءاتَينٰكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاسمَعوا ۖ قالوا سَمِعنا وَعَصَينا وَأُشرِبوا فى قُلوبِهِمُ العِجلَ بِكُفرِهِم ۚ قُل بِئسَما يَأمُرُكُم بِهِ إيمٰنُكُم إِن كُنتُم مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
