Tafsir of verse (1) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ طسم ﴾
Ta-Sin-Mim
Tafsir of verse (2) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ تِلكَ ءايٰتُ الكِتٰبِ المُبينِ ﴾
These are the verses of the clear Book.
Tafsir of verse (3) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ لَعَلَّكَ بٰخِعٌ نَفسَكَ أَلّا يَكونوا مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.
Tafsir of verse (4) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِن نَشَأ نُنَزِّل عَلَيهِم مِنَ السَّماءِ ءايَةً فَظَلَّت أَعنٰقُهُم لَها خٰضِعينَ ﴾
If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.
Tafsir of verse (5) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَما يَأتيهِم مِن ذِكرٍ مِنَ الرَّحمٰنِ مُحدَثٍ إِلّا كانوا عَنهُ مُعرِضينَ ﴾
And no mention [i.e., revelation] comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
Tafsir of verse (6) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَقَد كَذَّبوا فَسَيَأتيهِم أَنبٰؤُا۟ ما كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ ﴾
For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.
Tafsir of verse (7) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَوَلَم يَرَوا إِلَى الأَرضِ كَم أَنبَتنا فيها مِن كُلِّ زَوجٍ كَريمٍ ﴾
Did they not look at the earth – how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?
Tafsir of verse (8) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايَةً ۖ وَما كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُؤمِنينَ ﴾
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Tafsir of verse (9) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ ﴾
And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Tafsir of verse (10) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَإِذ نادىٰ رَبُّكَ موسىٰ أَنِ ائتِ القَومَ الظّٰلِمينَ ﴾
And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people.
Tafsir of verse (11) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قَومَ فِرعَونَ ۚ أَلا يَتَّقونَ ﴾
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"
Tafsir of verse (12) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ رَبِّ إِنّى أَخافُ أَن يُكَذِّبونِ ﴾
He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me.
Tafsir of verse (13) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَيَضيقُ صَدرى وَلا يَنطَلِقُ لِسانى فَأَرسِل إِلىٰ هٰرونَ ﴾
And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.
Tafsir of verse (14) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَلَهُم عَلَىَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخافُ أَن يَقتُلونِ ﴾
And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."
Tafsir of verse (15) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ كَلّا ۖ فَاذهَبا بِـٔايٰتِنا ۖ إِنّا مَعَكُم مُستَمِعونَ ﴾
[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.
Tafsir of verse (16) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ فَأتِيا فِرعَونَ فَقولا إِنّا رَسولُ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ ﴾
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds.
Tafsir of verse (17) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ أَن أَرسِل مَعَنا بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ ﴾
[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."
Tafsir of verse (18) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ قالَ أَلَم نُرَبِّكَ فينا وَليدًا وَلَبِثتَ فينا مِن عُمُرِكَ سِنينَ ﴾
[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?
Tafsir of verse (19) from Surah Ash-Shuara
﴿ وَفَعَلتَ فَعلَتَكَ الَّتى فَعَلتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ الكٰفِرينَ ﴾
And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."
