Tafsir of verse (16) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَلَقَد جَعَلنا فِى السَّماءِ بُروجًا وَزَيَّنّٰها لِلنّٰظِرينَ ﴾
And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers.
Tafsir of verse (17) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَحَفِظنٰها مِن كُلِّ شَيطٰنٍ رَجيمٍ ﴾
And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah].
Tafsir of verse (18) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ إِلّا مَنِ استَرَقَ السَّمعَ فَأَتبَعَهُ شِهابٌ مُبينٌ ﴾
Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame.
Tafsir of verse (19) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَالأَرضَ مَدَدنٰها وَأَلقَينا فيها رَوٰسِىَ وَأَنبَتنا فيها مِن كُلِّ شَيءٍ مَوزونٍ ﴾
And the earth – We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing.
Tafsir of verse (20) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَجَعَلنا لَكُم فيها مَعٰيِشَ وَمَن لَستُم لَهُ بِرٰزِقينَ ﴾
And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers.
Tafsir of verse (21) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَإِن مِن شَيءٍ إِلّا عِندَنا خَزائِنُهُ وَما نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلّا بِقَدَرٍ مَعلومٍ ﴾
And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known [i.e., specified] measure.
Tafsir of verse (22) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَأَرسَلنَا الرِّيٰحَ لَوٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَسقَينٰكُموهُ وَما أَنتُم لَهُ بِخٰزِنينَ ﴾
And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.
Tafsir of verse (23) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَإِنّا لَنَحنُ نُحيۦ وَنُميتُ وَنَحنُ الوٰرِثونَ ﴾
And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor.
Tafsir of verse (24) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَلَقَد عَلِمنَا المُستَقدِمينَ مِنكُم وَلَقَد عَلِمنَا المُستَـٔخِرينَ ﴾
And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come].
Tafsir of verse (25) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحشُرُهُم ۚ إِنَّهُ حَكيمٌ عَليمٌ ﴾
And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.
Tafsir of verse (26) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَلَقَد خَلَقنَا الإِنسٰنَ مِن صَلصٰلٍ مِن حَمَإٍ مَسنونٍ ﴾
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.
Tafsir of verse (27) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَالجانَّ خَلَقنٰهُ مِن قَبلُ مِن نارِ السَّمومِ ﴾
And the jinn We created before from scorching fire.
Tafsir of verse (28) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ وَإِذ قالَ رَبُّكَ لِلمَلٰئِكَةِ إِنّى خٰلِقٌ بَشَرًا مِن صَلصٰلٍ مِن حَمَإٍ مَسنونٍ ﴾
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.
Tafsir of verse (29) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ فَإِذا سَوَّيتُهُ وَنَفَختُ فيهِ مِن روحى فَقَعوا لَهُ سٰجِدينَ ﴾
And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
Tafsir of verse (30) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ فَسَجَدَ المَلٰئِكَةُ كُلُّهُم أَجمَعونَ ﴾
So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely.
Tafsir of verse (31) from Surah Al-Hijr
﴿ إِلّا إِبليسَ أَبىٰ أَن يَكونَ مَعَ السّٰجِدينَ ﴾
Except Iblees; he refused to be with those who prostrated.
